My Favorite Highway
Posted May 15, 2006 — in Higher Learning

Somewhere between indie and mainstream, between emo and pop/rock, you’ll find My Favorite Highway. Quickly expanding their fanbase through polished and exhilirating performances as well as the spread of their self-released EP ‘The Pre-Release,’ My Favorite Highway are rapidly becoming the unsigned band to watch. With their unique spin, MFH somehow sound like The Rocket Summer, Coheed and Cambria, Saves The Day and a number of others without sounding anything like them. Currently in the process of releasing a full-length album and preparing for a tour this summer. For more information contact legal Daniel R. Friedman at 314.497.1060
Great band. Been following them for awhile. Surprised they haven’t been picked up yet, but pretty sure some band will once their full length is done.

The first time I saw them live–I knew they were unlike any other local band I had seen, and I was right! They’re going places…fast!

This band is amazing. The music has stuck with me since I randomly came upon them last year. They are such a great find for anyone who appreciates music. Their sound is unique in the aspects of instrument progression and overall dynamic. I recommend this band to many people; and, I will continue to follow them.

Glad to see that they are getting some recognition, MFH puts out wonderful music and now the gears are churning in their favor. Props to KOAR on this feature.

I think this band is absolutely fantastic. I’m normally really picky about the bands I like, but immediately I loved these guys, they’re great, and I’m glad they’re getting out there more!

The piano gives me chills, and I can’t wait for the rest of the country to have the same goosebumps. Watch out.

These guys are TIGHT! They bring it when they perform live and when you hear their CD you know these guys aren’t just messin’ around. They love what they are doing and they are talented at it as well. That’s rare now.
Rock on, MFH.

These guys are great. We caught them at Flipside and they had a nice crowd even though they were the first to go on. Can’t wait to see them again. Go Virginia!!

My Favorite Highway has such a fresh cool sound. Their songs are so catchy, and i just love what they do. Unaware is one of my favorite songs right now, i always have it blaring. I’m glad they are getting proper recognition for what they do.

These guys seriously make the best music I’ve heard in a long time. I’m excited to see them grow.

MFH is amazing. I can’t wait for their full-length album. They don’t sound like a lot of bands that are out there–which is great b/c hearing the same sound can get boring. The guys in the band are so down to earth and chill. Check them out..you’ll loveee them

It’s great to see a band who is more focused on putting the songs across rather than just trying to sell themselves. Music is the end, not the means to something else…Just watch these guys.

MFH is one of the best bands i’ve heard in a long time. they are absolutely breathtaking, and have the sort of catchy songs you fall in love with and can’t get out of your head, even if you wanted to. they are as nice in person as they are to listen to, and with as much potential as these boys have, they’re really going somewhere.

My Favorite Highway is the best unsigned band i ever heard in a while. the singer’s(dave’s) voice is soooo unique and beautiful. when he sings in ‘unaware’, you get the feeling that he’s singing to you. My Favorite Highway is a great band. they have potential, talent, and the drive to get somewhere in the music business. they’re really different from bands now a days and that’s what i think makes them sooo speacial to me. i would love to see them get into the music business. i think they would really kick some ass.

These guys kick ass with their smooth hypnotic guitar riffs, beat-box like drum loops, and catchy lyrics. Whenever I hear them I just want to break out into a wild air-guitar playing frenzy, and screaming at the top of my lungs “I love My Favorite Highway, they ROCK!

I’m impressed… I heard them play last night at Mclean Bible Church and I was blown away!
My cousin is a producer at Versatile Records. I think y’all should set up a meeting with him.

I’m not typically a fan of this scene of rock that has swept the teen population of our nation. Although, this band caught my attention with the first song of theirs I listened to, “Unaware”. They cross all genres and are just a lot of fun to listen to. Do yourself a favor, and check them out!
