Label Signings

Atlanta based experimental alt-rock band In Vitro have signed to Victory Records, and will begin recording their debut release soon; Legal rep is Ben McLane. Toronto, Canada based indie pop band Crush Luther  have signed to High Four Records owned by Goldfinger drummer Darrin Pfeiffer and distributed by Fontana/Universal which was also repped by Ben Mclane. Long Island rockers Phase 9 (Pictured) has signed to Capitol Records. Chicago-based five-piece AbsentStar has signed to RCA Records. Fair To Midland who recently signed to Serjical Strike records also sealed the deal with Universal. Lastly, Double Blind Recordings signs screamo act Signal the Escape.

  1. wow, all of those bands (sans the semi-interesting fair to midland) are completely bland and certainly not major or major-indie material. boo for worthloess a&rs..

  2. I checked out the bands not the greatest bunch but i do think phase 9 has a lot of potential. If you take the time to listen to every song you’ll see that the drummer and guitarist have a lot of talent and each song is diverse.

  3. I would agree that those are VERY bland bands, but I would disclude Phase 9 from that because at least they are a real sounding rock band, heavier and more song oriented than their L.I. counterparts

  6. I’ve seen Phase 9 at CBGB’s. This band is the real deal. They’ve got it all. The singer puts on a captivating show that draws the audience as close to the stage as they can get. The A & R at Capitol who snagged them: a job well done! Can’t wait to hear more from this band.
