I've heard two new Crossfade songs on the radio and here are my impressions: Overall the songs lacked clarity and a strong hook. By the time the chorus is over I'm confused on what I'm supposed to be able to hang on to. Cold was a lyrical and musical hook that easily grabbed people's attention. The songs I've heard lack a decisive melody and are weighted down by wordy lyrics. My opinion only. They are strong and savy songwriters, so I was a little surprised. But this is typical when a band has 10 yrs to write their record, and 1 year to write their next. I'm willing to bet if given a chance and time they'll make a great third record. And to clarify, I'm only looking at this from a radio single standpoint. The songs I heard seemed more like album cuts rather than radio singles. Album cuts are just as important to add depth to a record, but are usually not the easiest sell over the radio.

For once I disagree with KOAR. The Crossfade album is solid with a tone of potential hits, I say give it time or a second single. I have not seen a push from the lable either. Don't count them out yet.
