Lior

Some people go to extremes of volume, vision and hype to attract attention to themselves while others are happy to simply do what they do and rely on building a reputation by the responses of those around them. Such is the case with Sydney singer songwriter Lior. Lior’s sound is a rootsy mix of styles that always harks back to the lyric and melody. In early 2005, Lior released his critically acclaimed debut album ‘Autumn Flow’. The album was one of the year’s most successful independent releases, and Lior has since become one of the few Australian independent artists to have a debut Gold Album. Autumn Flow is to be released internationally starting in the UKLior will be touring the UK, Europe, and the states in aid of Autumn Flows release. 1. Hey, i saw this chap play in NYC a few months ago. i don’t think i have ever seen anything like this. I’m a live music junkie, i think i have seen it all - but there’s something exceptional about Lior. Insane vocals, which many have, but rarely does someone with insane vocals have such intense and meaningful lyrics. In 20 years, we’ll think of Lior how we thing of Van Morrison, James Taylor or Jeff Buckley - quote me on that if you like!

  2. I love love Love Lior, but I’m from Arkansas, and want to know how I can see him live, and when he’s going to release a new album! I already have both albums and have done covers, though not professionally, for a couple of his songs. I love buried chances, and my seven year old sings sitting with a stranger. In fact, that’s the first song she learned to drum with. Does anyone know anything *about* him, aside from his musical aclaims??
