- Octone Merges with A&M.
According to HITS, Interscope Geffen A&M has just announced the formation of A&M/Octone Records. The roster will include Octone acts including Maroon 5, Flyleaf, Michael Tolcher and Dropping Daylight
- Could we have a Columbia/Epic?
- Gambling on the Ringtone Business
The Record labels are consumed right now cutting deals with mobile ringtone companies. A recent look at the global wireless market declared that the market for ringtones has peaked.
- Coleen Mcmahon is creating a lot of chatter around her. The 19 year old is well known in her Oregon hometown for being vocally and visually mesmerizing. After her classmates ‘elected’ her prom queen for being the most talented, she took her parents car and drove to Los Angeles catching the attention of producers who worked with Evanescence and Josh Groban. Insiders say she is the next Celine Dion.
- Sirius, XM expect deal to close by end 2007. Could iPod integration follow? Commentators think that if the deal goes through, it may give scope to integrate satellite radio with iPods in the future.
- Check out Matthew Perryman Jones (Nashville) who will be performing tomorrow at 7:00pm, the Living Room in NYC.
Re: the iPod and satellite radio, i think there could be some serious truth to that. i think apple had a real problem choosing between the two services and thus declined both offers.

Knowing her as not a close friend, but aquantience (through others whom I know well today), she is definatly one who’s voice is inspiring as her loved ability in being true towards her close friends. She’s one young remarkable woman well on the way of touching people deeply with her beatiful music, and….even greater heart. She really let out a voice of an angel while she was in choir back in High School!
As I wrote, well on her way up, and I have no doubts about this.

You know sometimes you can hear someone sing and watch someone perform and you just become entranced. I don’t find that I experience that often but every single time I saw Coleen perform I did. Music? where is there music? I googled coleen and found her myspace page. http://www.myspace.com/coleenmcmahon but there wasn’t any music on her profile which is odd given the fact that she has a music profile. To top it off this girl has over 35,000 friends without any music. I don’t get it.

I read the comment above about Coleen being a role model. Coleen is the epitomy of a role model. She is a natural leader and people truly look up to her. I think young girls need someone to look up to like Coleen instead of the unfortuneate girls like Brittany Spears and Linsdey Lohan. I wish you well with all of your success coleeen.
