One Less Reason “if you want me” is in sub power rotation on Jackson’s top 40 Y101 which is resulting in sell out shows in the area. Y101 is a BDS reporting station, which is why the labels are calling. Last show they brought in 1,100 at Gators.

This is a powerful indicator. Radio - Retail - Show translation. The track is resonating with the public. Also, its extremely hard for an unsigned band today to get on top 40 radio in this current musical landscape.

One less reason also has strong ticket sales in several clubs in Memphis TN, Orlando FL, etc.

Why would they need to break out of Jackson MS? Its not even their hometown. That deserves the Big Ol’….”DUH”!

One less reason is also getting healthy myspace plays. Simply, OLR is a self sufficient well oiled machine that can afford to take the show on the road.

Lastly, KOAR is independently run and gives great artists the same exact exposure. Give us great songs, and we will give you EXPOSURE!

I am not going to defend OLR or anything, but it is entirely possible to be on the radio and NOT register on BDS. It happens more often than you’d think, actually.

KOAR posted an article on Fuzzy Math a long time ago. It’s worth checking out again.

I’m sure you’re pushing OLR so hard because you manage them KOAR. BDS reports that they’re not getting too much traction even in Top40 in Jackson. Outside of Jackson, there’s no one else listening to them. Break outside of Jackson… show what they’re worth!

People are clearly listening to Top 40 in Jackson, MS! They’re smart to know who buys records and spends money on bands…and focusing on them. I know they land all the big rock shows in the region as well, so that’s gotta help. How has rock radio responded?

people who have bought cd’s this year have shown what they want to hear…Just a Guy..now you have raised a question.who is Buying cd’s.with the amount of downloading that labels have complained about you have to wonder who is buying cd’s.what age group?and why?.and who.it seems that a physical cd is still the yard stick that is used to measure a bands success.sometimes we forget that labels have other divisions such as country,jazz,r&b ect…

if your a fan of Imus..he is moving to XM radio.do believe that morning Zoo type shows are becoming a thing of the past.how many fart jokes and fake laughing can you take .the only thing left is using dirty words on a radio show .and that they can do on XM radio.

Al Sharpton wants to keep himself relevant so he picks up these stories to bring to the press. This guy doesnt give a crapola about the Rutgers basketball team. Only the gullible will believe that.
