Clarkson has just fired her manager, Jeff Kwatinetz of the management company The Firm, reports Us Weekly.
A source tells the mag, “It happened last night. They disagreed over the songs and the direction. “Everyone is surprised.”
KOAR knew this was coming, to many chefs in the kitchen.
The one time hot shot Beverly Hills Management Company has lost most of their King Pin artists including Kelly, Linkin Park, Staind, 30 Seconds to Mars, etc..
Kelly, we will say it again, and again, and again….you are a rock star!

…a rockstar who is getting ready to have her record flop…but on her own terms.
So what? The record may flop, but she will gain an enormous amount of respect and credibility. And in late 2008 or early 2009 she will have a new record out, this time it will be “Breakaway 2″… with all the star players writing and producing for her. Only difference this time, she and label can take advantage of her new image she built with the last release.
Jeff doesn’t seem to have a clear focus on who he wants to sign on. I mean .. KoRn .. Kelly Clarkson .. Five Finger Death Punch .. I could understand if it was some legit/diverse label .. but its a management/label company .. not should it matter .. but apparently it does .. he is getting caught up too much in styles & industry standards.
This site is turning into Kelly Clarkson fan site. Nothing against her but she is there because of American Idol. She can break away if she wants and she might even be succesful, but give the guys behind the scenes a little credit for her success as well.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen her bash American Idol, or claim that she would have been successful without them. However, she won that show in 2002…at what point does it stop being about a contest she won 5 years ago and start being about her own abilities?
When I heard this news, I thought to myself “all these management companies like to tell me their rosters are full” and they disregard our do it yourself success having been on KROQ and licensing to MTV and recently national distribution through MDI, all without a label. I thought, “Kelly Clarkson fired her manager…they have an opening!” I called them up and sent the cd. Waiting to hear back.
