Check out this article ‘Singer-songwriters, or just singers‘? This article follows the recent blowout of Avril Lavigne taking credit for songs she didn’t write. This is a disturbing trend among the hollywood perez pop tarts. The dishonesty usually runs in the female pop circles who are fighting for credibility.
“It’s crazy!” exclaimed Grammy-winning songwriter Diane Warren, who has written for artists such as Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and Mary J. Blige. “How can someone look in the mirror and know they didn’t do something and their name is on it? For money? For credit? It’s a lie.”
Apple Shares Fall: AT&T wiped some of the glow off Apple iPhone, releasing numbers that showed fewer people than expected signed up for service in the first two days of the multimedia cell phone’s release.

Wow that “Flop” of Kelly Clarkson’s is doing quite well. I wonder what orifice the media pulls they’re info from. She’s gone gold in 4 weeks even with the negative buzz. Nice. Thank God “My December” is one of the best albums to come along it a very long time…it will prove the haters wrong and prove why Kelly had a right to be pissed at RCA and Clive. Yeah, I’d be pissed if I wrote or co-wrote for #1’s (Miss Independent, Because of You, Behind These Hazel Eyes, Walk Away), won songwriting awards, and brought in a 100 million dollars to a label and then have someone tell me I can’t write. 2 Years and 60 songs and Clive tells her no. That blows chunks. Kelly’s bitten her tongue for years, but finally said some shiznat…then says sorry and still gets blasted. Whatever people, give the album a chance the girl can sing and damn straight she can write! Peace.

Stealing song writing credit isn’t new, or a female artist thing. Jimmy Buffet tried to steal song writing credit for “God’s Own Drunk” (Lord Buckley). Arlo Guthrie tried to steal “City of New Orleans” from Steve Goodwin. Copywrite your stuff.

Wow, I’m really surprised by the numbers of that Three Days Grace record! Here in Holland, their popularity is almost zero; they never had a single in the charts, never received decent press attention and never got good promotion from their label. Although I really think they could’ve been in the charts over here as well…

I dont even think that Three Days Grace has ever played overseas more then once! They should be platinum by Xmas, hopefully.
I am very impressed by the Papa Roach and 3DG sales. Although I can’t believe P Roach only scanned over 300k….Forever is a big rock radio hit. I hope they go gold.
Yellowcard is done. They are doing worse then New Found Glory did….
