They have NOTHING left to prove to anyone! They need this next level of support. Personally I believe that's the only way Major labels should sign people anyway. Majors have neither the resources nor the know-how to develop a quality act like Alkaline Trio. It's the Indi's jobs to support these acts until they reach a certain level of security.
