Sirius will play satellite radio at home via the internet: Sirius has struck a deal with Sonos for streaming most Sirius channels, by way of the Internet, through home stereo systems.

Controversial P2P application Limewire that allows users to share files is now preparing a paid download store. “Subsequent releases will enable users to browse and purchase music directly from within the Limewire program,”. Iris Distribution and Nettwerk Music Group have licensed their content to the store.

Without Tomorrow is the first up and coming band that has been able to reach beyond the pages of MySpace and give a live worldwide concert through Network Foundation Technologies (NFT). NFT’s patented technology used in its NiFTy Online Broadcasting product, is the most efficient and successful method for enabling distributed video broadcasting over the Internet

  1. The only problem with Without Tomorrow doing that is censorship .. did anyone hear about the recent issue with Pearl Jam?

  2. The Sirius-Sonos connection will cost Sirius subscribers, who pay $12.95 per month, an extra $2.99 after a 30-day free trial. If you’ve already got the Sirius ‘Plug N Play’ radio, you don’t need Sonos and you’ll get ALL the channels.

  3. The Limewire deal is more aimed at people who do not even have a Plug N Play radio… They’re trying to open the market up to everyone that has the capability. So, even if you don’t have a Sirius setup, you can still get their service as long as you have an Internet connection.

  4. You still have to pay MINIMUM $400 for the Sonos setup. Their stuff aint cheap.

Why not just spend $200, get the Plug N Play, get ALL the Sirius channels AND have the ability to bring it into your car as well?

Agreed, but–not all people think that way, and Sirius/Sonos will capitalize on it (probably only for a bit, however…). It’s Capitalism at it’s best.
