KOARs new pick is Shannon Nicole who hails from St Louis, Missouri.
Her music roots stem from the time she spent in Texas which are evident
in her country/southern rock/pop crossover style.
We are finding out that other industry execs are as impressed as we are.
Check out the track Mama Raised You Right. For more info contact
Dan Friedman.
Britney Spears lawyer and manager Jeff Kwatinetz split from the camp.
Who wouldn’t bail from this media circus? We live in a time when media and
people are more interested in personal lives than anything else.
No wonder creativity is suffering, so lame….
Here is a statement from the FIRM:
“We have represented Britney for the past month.
We believe Britney is enormously talented, and has made a terrific record.
But current circumstances have prevented us from properly doing our job.
We wish Britney the best.
It looks like Kanye West’s album Graduation could top 850k and
50 Cent’s Shady/Aftermath/ Interscope album Curtis could end up with 625k.
Country star Kenny Chesneys first week could land 425k.
I just listened to shannon nicole. Great pick KOAR, I love her songs and trying to figure out how to myself a copy.
I just picked up the new kenny chesney record as well and I’m excited to see him live.

The firm use to be hollywoods biggest firm, its falling apart now. They lost clarkson, staind, 30 seconds to mars, and linkin park. A new crop of innovative managers exist now. Artists should team up with smart hungry managers that understand the new business model. Its a fragile line between the internet and making records.

You preach originality every single day on this site, then post Shannon Nicole. Wow, is her PR agent that hypnotizing?
Comment by Scott — September 18, 2007 @ 12:18 pm
Scott as a fan of koar I believe they strive for the highest standards. Koar should always preach originality and search for greatness.
When you look at that history of music, originality has always been rare.
At the end of the day, a good song is a good song despite originality.

Thanks for finding Shannon Nicole for me! After listening to the song you posted, I found her on myspace and got to hear 4 more and all are incredible. Reminds me of Michelle Branch/The Wreckers.
After looking around her Myspace site/official site, it appears as though she is in the studio working on material and is still in the process of looking for touring musicians.

The Firm still has some great acts…onerepublic, korn, chris cornell, snoop, backstreet, flyleaf, five finger death punch, mandy moore, pete yorn, pink spiders, three days grace, puddle of mudd, fiction plane, enrique iglesias, david banner, hawthorne heights, seether, and many more…they are all quite commercially viable artists.
