New York based TVT Records who was one of the top independent record labels in the U.S. has terminated the majority of their employees today, sources revealed to AllHipHop.com today.
TVT, which is home to major recording stars like Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz, Pitbull, Ying Yang Twins, The Polyphonic Spree and others, is expected to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection this week.
TVT was Billboard Magazine’s #1 Independent Label for five consecutive years (2001-2006).

yeah those 5 years .. Sevendust carried them
realmad needs to check his numbers;”carried them”….. whatever. sevendust never had a platinum record with them; at least while currently on their roster.
Mike: I did studio work with their Producer/A&R I know what i’m talking about. They did well with the label for a while, until the bees nest was played with.
well, they soundscanned a little over 800,000 on their BEST SELLING record for tvt; while still current on their roster. At around that same time, TVT had HUGE records from Lil Jon, Ying Yang Twins, and others that “carried them.”

Yes sevendust never sold a million on 1 release but they did sell at least 500,000 of each release and they most certainly saw most of sevendust’s money for those releases.500,000 is not a lot for a major but however the label profits heavily off of those numbers.Sevendust most certainly carried them for a awhile.
