She changed her surname to that of her step fathers... not too out of the ordinary there, especially if she was in some way abused by her biological father. So she moves around a lot... what New Jersey girl doesn't want to end up living in a nice apartment in New York City? Few can "make it" there right off the bat... she just seems like a girl who's trying to find her place in life to me. And is making some trade-offs to get where she wants to be. Maybe in the end she'll find that she wasn't making the smartest choices, but it HARDLY means that she hates herself. And anyone who thinks that the internet is going to "clog" should be considered the 2nd coming of the Y2K sensationalists. She hates who she is? Geez.
