Everyone knows AI is rigged! So, my suggestion to the producers would be to stop rigging the show and then perhaps the ratings would improve. It's an insult to the viewers.

What's country about Shannon Nicole? That she's got her shirt tied?

Someone should tell U.S. Royalty that name dropping Leonard Cohen & Elvis Costello is a really bad idea unless you're incredibly good. (They're not.)

Metallica has always been good to the fans that were good to them. They get such a bad wrap from consumers for the Napster stuff (since that's all the press ever bothers to mention), but they probably do more for their fans than any band I can think of. I was really upset when they sent cease & desist letters to all of the fan-run Metallica bootleg sites in '99/'00, but they did a super bitchin' job with livemetallica.com to make up for it. They did absolutely everything right with that site... it's easy to use, downloads are super fast, they offer mp3 & flac, the recording quality of the shows is fantastic, the library of shows is gigantic, the documentation along with each show is really good, etc. I have no doubt that they would pull off a full digital release flawlessly... I just wish they still wrote great songs.

American Idol was great when it debuted but like anything... after a while the excitement begins to ebb. In a society constantly looking for the "next thing"... American Idol.. is getting old quick.
