New Music, New Singles, and Radio…

Listen to the track Outrage by Capital Lights. Their new record titled “This Is An Outrage” will be available July 8th via Tooth and Nail Records.
Check out the track ‘Let It Rain‘ from Hong-Kong raised Margot Blanche who describes herself as a French-Filipino NuSoul songstress with a classically alluring voice. Margot says ‘Let It Be’ was written during one of the darkest moments of her life and I don’ t doubt that…
Katy Perry’s single, ‘I Kissed A Girl‘ was added to top 40 radio. This is a good cheeze track - Katy has a good original voice. I still can’t understand why she is performing on the WARPED Tour…
Shinedown’s new single ‘Devour‘ was recently added to active rock radio as well as the 3 Doors Down new single titled ‘Train‘.
Rehab’s ‘Sittin’ At A Bar‘ was added to alternative radio…..eh! it’s alright.
Duffy’s new single ‘Mercy‘ has almost 10 million views on YouTube - except she has nothing on Amy Winehouse.

I think Katy Perry is on Warped because she is dating the front man from the band Gym Class Heroes. They’ve proven to be pretty popular within that crowd, given their constant hype from Pete Wentz..

I get pissed every time I hear Katy Perry’s song. Her parents (Pastor of a Christian Church) must be so proud.
No seriously the song is sick and don’t mean that in a good way. Yes cheezy is a nice way to describe it.

I agree Lisa, its a ashame that they had to ‘couple’ really ‘bad lyrics’ with a great melody/great chorus. The song could have been good, but she will never be taken serious singing those lyrics. I don’t know anything about the girl singing behind the song though…

Katy’s actually quite talented. Tough to understand why she’s doing the Warped Tour until you see her perform live with her band — they’re pretty plugged in and rockin’…
Shame that Flom & Co. went straight to Top 40 with her though. The single is a novelty track and she’ll never get taken seriously at any other format.
Methinks her next career move will be hosting a talk show of some kind.

There is no song “Let it Be” do you mean “Let it Rain”
Also I just read the bio on the band Capital Lights. What kind of a serious record deal could they have gotten if the label hasn’t even seen them live nowadays. That crap don’t fly with the majors.

Fact…
I was listening to the radio yesterday. I young girl around 14 years old called in an requested “I kissed a girl” the DJ asked “why that song” she said…because I just tried kissing a girl and I like it better than kissing a guy. The DJ (a guy) was kind of upset trying to get her to explain why. She said she don’t know why.
I’ll tell you why, that sick song inspired her.

Agree with Lisa what a waste of a good melody for such regurgitated hook(I think is the 3rd time I’ve heard I kissed a girl as the songs hook). As for Duffy’s track NO…NO…NO….tried to make me go to rehab, oops Im mean yeah…yeah….yeah….beggin you for mercy. What a great song but I liked it the first time when the crack head did it. Everyone else your tracks are safe for now till I hear them a bit more.
