Today’s culture hasn’t produced as many great artists as it has in the past. Years ago, we couldn’t get to the stores fast enough to get the newest recordings by MANY competitive artists. Who’s on top of the charts now? No one knows. In reality, no one is on top of the charts, they are all in the middle of mediocrity. When great songs are delivered to us in this era, we must cling to it and cherish it.
Great songs simply cannot be ignored, and a great album cannot be ignored. Thriving Ivory has both. Their reflective songwriting and distinct soothing vocals puts them in between Coldplay and U2. Things took off when Music Director Aaron Axelsen of influential San Francisco rock station KITS Live 105 put the track “Angels on the Moon” into full rotation. Check out the official video for ‘Angels on the Moon‘ and listen to Runaway.

been following this band for a while – LOVEM!!! True separatists.
Great songs, Great live show, been a fan for years.
Deserve to be huge.
Love this band!!!! Also been listening for a few years now..
Thriving Ivory is similiar to Our Lady Peace, but better. Thriving Ivory is a cut above the rest. They represent true musicianship and songwriting. GOOD call KOAR on picking runaway as solid cut.
I just think the band wrote themselves a smash and have more to follow up with. Good guitar tones too – who produced this? thank god the tracks aren’t compressed the hell out of..
Thanks for the music.
Thriving Ivory is a great artist and have a great live show. I hope this band blows up because they deserve it. They have been doing this for a while.
Much like some of the other posts, I’ve been a fan for awhile. Last May I profiled the band’s CD on my Web site and mentioned they’d get big. Sure enough, VH1 has confirmed them as a You Oughtta Know act.
Chris Manning of Jellyfish produced most of the disc and Howard Benson did a couple.
Some great people, some incredible songs and probably one of the more promising rock bands in quite a few years.
