I love it.. im so happy that a true influential figure can still prove to be influential after his passing.. I’m sure he’s looking down proud. Maybe Michael will be the ‘Change’ to the industry in the way music is purchased and enjoyed? I spun a piece of vinyl a few times in the 80’s with MJ on it… and I actually do miss it.
….im not sure what… but something is going to change soon, I can feel it.
I was under the impression that he sold 422,000 total albums & that 52% of that was digital downloads, which means ~200,000 physical albums.

Still a considerable amount, but the story is that more were sold online.
Nothing is going to change as far as purchasing habits until music as good as Thriller, Off the Wall, & Bad is being promoted. When something’s great, people will buy it, online or off. Give me something to believe in & I’ll give you $10. That’s the moral of the story. Michael is no martyr for the industry, he’s just an example of an artist you could believe in.
Even if he was ultra creepy, he wasn’t whoring himself around town like Fergy & Will.I.Am. He was reclusive, & you can believe in that. He wasn’t starting catfights with Perez Hilton. If someone from the Black Eyed Peas died at 50, no one would really care. People would pretend to for a minute. But only because that would be the trendy thing to do in that moment. Michael kept enough hidden that you always wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, & he always kept room for you to do so. You could empathize with him. He was a real person who lived his life as if he had actual feelings. Today’s pop stars don’t do that. They’re just out for the money, they want the exposure. And the truth is that none of them have the talent to be superstars on the merits of their music & performances alone.
This whole ordeal is a commentary on where we’re at now & on how cheap & insubstantial everything has become.
So glad Manchester Orchestra & Kings of Leon are making an impact. Perhaps there’s hope.
More than 2.4 million Jackson tracks were downloaded….
Also, Michael Jackson had alot of killer tracks. How many artists today have written or recorded 15 songs that will be remembered 20 or 30 years from now?
Jackson last rehearsal on video tape!

im just so glad that now hes not suffering and that now maybe ALL people will regret what they said about michael, although i didnt know him that well, but i wish i did! hopefully now they wont call him “Wacko Jacko” or any other rude comments about michael. some people can be so rude to such an innocent person, i dont belive that he did hurt that child, they just wanted the money. michael looked like such a caring person someone i would LOVE to hang out with. the song that inspired me the most was ” Man in the mirror”. well i i want to say to end this reply is R.I.P MICHAEL I LOVE YOU. this world isnt the same without you!
