Brittany McDonald

kt

Brittany McDonald is buzzing in Nashville. Her song
Another Wanna Be is featured on the Sony Walkman commercial and the track ‘Come On’ is behond the commercial  for the car “Suzuki.” I love her statement:”I believe that the spirit of the individual still has value. Media seems to strip us of our individual identity these days, by tuning us out of ourselves and into someone else…whether it be reality shows, celebrity gossip, etc.We all want to leave a mark, send a message, but can’t seem to break through. I love it. Music needs more people that are real and don’t do it just for the sake of being another wannabe celebrity!

  2. longino says:

The whole production is just waaay too slick to make her message believable.

  3. Brittany says:

Woop woop Britt…keep on moving up!

  4. koar says:

I think her photos are great. She goes all out. Most artist photos look like they were taken by their grandmother with a disposable camera.

  5. laylah says:

    i love this song!

  6. Kimberly says:

I absolutely adore Brittany McDonald’s music. You are more than amazing Brittany and I wish you the best. Kick booty and keep doing what you do!

  7. m'shellyanthony says:

“strip us of our individuality” – Yep that photo is dripping with individuality!!! photoshop and auto tune all over this artists “originality”!!

  8. koar says:

M’Shelly – Thats just ridiculous; you’re just trying to find something to complain about. Nothing is wrong with photoshop when used correctly. As far as autotune, not sure what song you are listening too..

  9. Shelly Hartman says:

I was the person that licensed Brittany’s song for the Sony Walkman, and frankly, they picked her out of 200+ artists along with NeverShoutNever and look what just happened to him. I think that she’s got something, her songs are catchy and funny and I applaud her efforts in songwriting.

  10. Jon Cole says:

I really like this girl. I like her blog, she’s got opinions. She’s someone you could believe in. I feel like she means what she’s singing, even if she gets a little lost in the production.

  11. Jenna Simone says:

Brittany’s “real” personality shines through on “Another Wanna Be” which is hard to do in the music industry. Looking at her Myspace she does everything from the “cute” Strawberry Shake to the “I’m not a girl to mess with” Bang. This is one girl we should expect to see big things from in the next couple months.

  12. Greg Minor says:

I follow the country music scene quite frequently here in Nashville. I go to different venues throughout town and yet to never see Brittany play. From an overall aspect she has a good voice, but all I see is a myspace page that focuses on her image not her talents. I’m not sold until I see her live and see if she can captivate a crowd. My space does not do it for me.

  13. Aaron Wickre says:

“Another Wanna Be” sounds like a hit. Her genuine attitude and strength of songs should be enough to get her plenty of industry attention.

  14. torki says:

i love that look of her
she is cute and i loved the song
    keep up brittny

  15. Jason says:

    Greg,

you’re jumping to conclusions here. I’ve seen Brittany play a few times last year and her voice is amazing live!
